After taking the win in race one of the round, Felix Rosenqvist continued a marvellous weekend for himself at Spielberg by crossing the line in first in yet another European F3 race.
Having started in third, Rosenqvist was up to second into turn two and passed Lucas Wolf for the lead. From there, it was largely a repeat of race one, with Rosenqvist completely unchallenged to take his fourth win of the season.
Poleman Daniil Kvyat was down to third from the start, but managed to retake second from Wolf, securing another podium finish. The German himself held on to third and ensured his own podium, the first one of his season.
In fourth, Lucas Auer beat out Josh Hill and Jordan King. Harry Tincknell finished in seventh, ahead of Tom Blomqvist, Eddie Cheever and Michael Lewis.
The race, among a number of penalties for speeding under yellows, saw two huge shunts. The first one was caused by a three-wide situation that resulted with Sven Muller spinning out Nicholas Latifi into the wall, while the second one saw Alex Lynn turned into the barrier by Pipo Derani. As a result of the second crash, the race was red-flagged on lap 20, with Raffaele Marciello bagging the final point.
