Former GP3 racer Tamas Pal Kiss has announced his one-race participation in Auto GP next weekend, at the Hungaroring, reports P1race.hu.
The 21-year-old Hungarian will race alongside Michele La Rosa in the MLR71 team. Tamas, who is the first Hungarian driver in Auto GP, will only do one round in the series, however, he plans to race in the Formula Renault 3.5 as well, when they visit Hungary.
Tamas started his international single-seater career in Formula Renault UK, in 2009, finishing thirteenth, as the third best rookie. In 2010, he won three races at the beginning of the year, and he was one of the main title contenders, however, he only finished third in the end.
Next year, he switched to GP3 with Tech 1 Racing, winning the sprint race at Barcelona on his second weekend, and finishing the year in 16th. In 2012, he spent his second season in GP3. Despite a difficult year with Atech GP, he scored a podium in Monaco. He also had two appearances in Formula Renault 3.5, where his best result was 11th, also at the Hungaroring.
