German F3 sensation Marvin Kirchhofer continued to rack up wins in his rookie year in the series, bringing the tally up to five with a phenomenal race one victory at Sachsenring.
The Lotus junior, starting from pole, withstood early pressure from teammate Emil Bernstorff and then cruised to victory, increasing his lead in the championship standings.
Bernstorff hisemfl ended up only third, losing out to Artem Markelov due to traffic and closing out yet another Lotus 1-2-3.
Thomas Jager was fourth, ahead of Matteo Cairoli, who recovered from an early spin to fifth, and Jordi Weckx. Hubertus-Carlos Vier was the Trophy class winner in seventh.
The race was an incident-filled one, going wrong from the very start as John Bryant-Meisner found himself stalled on the grid. A lengthy ten-minute safety car period followed, and while the rest of the race was run as scheduled, there were retirements in the gravel for Gustavo Menezes and Nabil Jeffri, while Sheban Siddiqi binned his car into a wall with two laps to go.
