European Formula 3 champion Felix Rosenqvist will compete in Indy Lights this year with Belardi Auto Racing alongside a continued European presence.
The 24-year-old Swede has completed a deal with the Belardi team after a promising testing performance at Homestead last month, when he set the fastest time.
Details of a European racing programme for Rosenqvist are set to be announced later this week.
?Testing went very well and I got to grips with the car pretty much straight away,” he said.
“I like the way the team operates, and the racing seems a lot of fun with a wide variety of circuits and pure driving.
“Racing on this side of the world will be very different to what I?m used to, but certainly a challenge I?m already relishing.
“I?ve been overwhelmed by the interest people have shown in my situation over the winter.
“It?s amazing to see that kind of support, and I?m happy to say that I?m perfectly pleased with the programme we have managed to put together for this season.
“The full details will follow within the next few days, but one thing is for sure: this will be my busiest year yet.?
Rosenqvist joins 2014 Indy Lights contender Zach Veach in the Belardi line-up. Felix Serralles and Juan Piedrahita, who raced for the team last year, have switched to Carlin and Pelfrey respectively for 2016.
