Caterham Driver Development Program member Matt Parry has won the Intersteps championship in the UK at the final weekend of the season at the Croft circuit…
Matt Parry has secured the Intersteps title with victory in the second race of the final weekend of the season at Croft. The result gave the Welshman, a member of the Caterham Driver Development Program, his 13th win from 22 races. His chief rival has been Matt Mason, who has won eight races including the first of the three Croft races.
Parry becomes the second champion in Intersteps, which uses the Formula BMW chassis and is supported by the Racing Steps Foundation. He succeeds Jake Dennis, who has gone on to have a successful campaign in Formula Renault NEC this year and should win the title at the final round at Spa.
The 18-year-old is in his second year of single-seaters, having finishing eighth in British Formula Ford last year. He had a strong record in karting, with the highlight of his career there being his 2010 triumph in Super 1 National Rotax Max Junior.
