Team Motopark, which runs under the Lotus banner, will run talented youngsters Emil Bernstorff, Marvin Kirchh?fer and Artem Markelov in the 2013 ATS Formel 3 Cup.
19-year-old Brit Bernstorff returns to Team Motopark after competing with the squad in the ADAC Formel Masters in 2011. He began his racing career in 2010 in British Formula Ford with Jamun Racing, taking three podiums. Bernstorff spent last season racing in the Formula 3 Euro Series with ma-con Motorsport, taking one podium on his way to tenth place in the championship. Bernstorff also began this season taking four dominating wins in the newly created Formula Middle East in Bahrain.
19-year-old German Kirchh?fer continues his association with Team Motopark after taking the 2012 ADAC Formel Masters title with the German squad. He now steps up to the ATS Formel 3 Cup and he is aiming to continue his success, ?I like to tie in with the successes of 2012 and so I am really looking forward for this new challenge,? said the youngster.
Finally, 18-year-old Russian Artem Markelov will be returning to the ATS Formel 3 Cup for second season with Team Motopark after finishing seventh in 2012. Markelov began racing with Team Motopark in 2011 in the ADAC Formel Masters finishing fourth in the championship before stepping up to the ATS Formel 3 Cup last season.
Along with Markelov, Team Motopark also ran Jimmy Eriksson, Kimiya Sato and Sheban Siddiqi, with Eriksson taking the 2012 title and Sato coming home in third. The 2013 ATS Formel 3 Cup kicks off at Oschersleben at the end of this month.
